Camera and lenses for a photographer is the most important stuff. You can not be a photographer if you have no tools to take a picture. And quality of this equipment as important as your skill level. You can be e great photographer, but without a camera it all goes for nothing. So today we will talk a little about my photo equipment.
My primary camera is a Canon 6d Mark II (full frame), my backup camera is a Canon 77d. I use all L series Canon lenses, these are the top of the line lenses produced by Canon Inc. My Lens range is focal length from 50mm, 24-105mm, 85mm and my 70-200mm portrait lens.
As to lighting I use the Godox lighting strobes kit, this kit allows a one vendor end to end solution in lighting your subject. Receivers and triggers work together seamlessly. I currently have the AD400, (2) AD200’s, (1) V860II-c flash unit all supporting High Speed Sync and a 2.4G wireless connection between devices. Tying this all together is the Godox XPro-C Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter, I can control the light settings remotely from my camera.
I must also talk about my light modifiers, I like EZ Lock Glow softboxes. You can get them in different shapes and sizes, I personally like the octagon boxes, because they wrap the subject in a soft light. As for setup on a location shoot, they are the best for quick and easy setup without problems. I’ve built my kit to be light and portable, because I shoot a lot of on location shoots.
